Helen Sachdev (nee Dodd) took up responsibility in May 2012 for the Retail and Business Banking Strategy in the UK. Prior to that, she led the development of the strategy and planning for customer facing channels in the UK Retail bank, including branches, telephony, internet and mobil. Head hunted into Barclays in January 2007, she led the new award winning design and the extensive refurbishment programme of UK branches. Helen is the former Planning and Design Director at Tesco, where she led the development, design and maintenance of the successful Tesco formats. She held a number of roles in J Sainsburys, originally joining as a graduate trainee, qualifying as an FCMA accountant, and going on to set up the highly successful Sainsbury’s Local business.
